We’re excited to announce that our Director and Chief Metrologist, Dr Annette Koo, will become the Director of the BIPM this September. As part of our World Metrology Day celebration, we marked 150 years of the Metre Convention and embraced the 2025 theme: Measurements for all times, for all people. We’re pleased to share some highlights and images from the event.

MSL joins the reformation of the science, innovation, and technology system in New Zealand and MSL Senior Research Scientist, Dr Johan Grand, contributes to a collaboration to detect earthquakes and tsunamis earlier.
