This edition highlights some of our favourite moments from our World Metrology Day 2026 celebration. We also celebrate a combined 50 years of experience across three members of our team and share expertise with Owen Brace, who leads the National Measurement Institute, Australia's work on DC electrical standards.

We’re pleased to welcome two new team members, Claude and Johannes. As we continue working closely with Earth Sciences NZ in preparation for our transition, we’re also looking ahead to hosting two key events this year: World Metrology Day 2026 celebration and the 42nd Asia Pacific Metrology Programme (APMP) General Assembly and related activities in November.

We’re excited to announce that our Director and Chief Metrologist, Dr Annette Koo, will become the Director of the BIPM this September. As part of our World Metrology Day celebration, we marked 150 years of the Metre Convention and embraced the 2025 theme: Measurements for all times, for all people. We’re pleased to share some highlights and images from the event.
