Course Overview
This one-day course gives an introduction to measurement uncertainty in the context of RF and microwave measurements. It covers real and complex-valued measurements with an emphasis on applications in RF and microwave metrology.
Programme Outline
Topics include
- What is uncertainty and how is it reported?
- The measurement uncertainty of real and complex quantities
- Calculating uncertainty
- The uncertainty of power, impedance and attenuation measurements
- Units of measurement and uncertainty statements
